Commander Elias Novak had spent six months on Mars, leading a research mission at Gale Crater. Every morning, he conducted tests on soil samples, monitored weather patterns, and sent reports back to Earth. Today should have been routine—until disaster struck.
As he prepared to board his spacecraft, he reached for his keycard and froze. It was gone. His only way off the planet had vanished, lost somewhere within the base or the surrounding red dunes. Panic crept in. A dust storm was approaching, and if he didn’t leave soon, he could be stranded indefinitely.
Elias scanned his surroundings. The keycard had to be somewhere. It could have slipped under equipment, been misplaced in the lab, or even been buried by the shifting Martian sand. He had to act fast, solving the mystery before it was too late.
