Nestled between the winding waterways of Willowbend, a small village known for its quiet canals and stone bridges, lived Henry Caldwell, an old fisherman with a heart as gentle as the rippling waters. He had spent his life by the canal, casting lines into the shimmering depths and feeding the birds that often gathered near his wooden dock. Among them was a mallard duck he had affectionately named Marble, easily recognizable by the unique white streak along its green head.
Every morning, Marble arrived at Henry’s doorstep, quacking for breadcrumbs before gliding gracefully across the water. But today, the usual morning routine was broken. Marble was nowhere to be seen. Concerned, Henry searched along the canal until he heard faint, distressed quacks from above. Looking up, he spotted the mallard trapped inside the fire chimney at the top of the canal’s old brick tower.
The duck had likely gotten curious and flown inside, only to find itself trapped behind rusted metal bars. Henry knew that time was running out. To set Marble free, he would need to find the hidden lever, solve the puzzles guarding the mechanism, and release the trapped mallard before it was too late.
