In the vast Pantanal wetlands of Brazil, a mother armadillo named Luna searched for food for her newborn babies. She had spent the night digging for insects, her sharp claws breaking through the soft earth. At sunrise, she wandered near a quiet clearing, unaware of the danger lurking ahead.
A metal clang shattered the morning silence. A poacher’s trap had snapped shut around her, locking her inside a rusted cage. Luna scratched at the bars, but they held firm. Her babies, hidden in their burrow, would go hungry without her.
Nearby, a kind-hearted biologist named Diego was studying the forest. He noticed the cage and rushed toward it. The lock was old but strong, and the key was nowhere in sight. He had to search the area, uncovering clues that would lead to Luna’s freedom.
