It was his big night—a chance to perform in front of the city’s elite. Dressed in a crisp suit, he grabbed his sheet music and reached for the door, but it wouldn’t open.
Frustration set in. He searched his pockets—no key. He checked the table, the couch, even under the piano lid. Nothing. Time was slipping away, and the party had already begun.
