The room looked ordinary—bright walls, toys, puzzles. But Simeon knew his grandfather never built anything simple. Every shelf, every drawer might hide a secret. Simeon had trained under his grandfather, mastering gears, locks, and secret compartments.
He spotted a stuffed bear with button eyes that clicked when pressed. A melody played. A hidden drawer opened. Inside lay a coded note.
