For Jake Reynolds, escape rooms were second nature. He had spent the past five years traveling the world, competing in some of the most challenging puzzle-based escape games ever designed. From ancient tomb replicas to high-tech spy missions, he had cracked codes, deciphered hidden messages, and found ways out of rooms that seemed inescapable.
But this?
This was something else entirely.
Jake groggily opened his eyes to find himself inside a bright, colorful room—walls painted with clouds and rainbows, shelves lined with stuffed animals, and a floor covered in scattered toys. A small wooden crib sat in one corner, a tiny rocking horse beside it.
He rubbed his temples. “What the—? Where am I?”
The door was locked, and a note was taped to it:
“Welcome to the Ultimate Escape Challenge! Think you’re the best? Prove it. Solve the puzzles, find the key, and escape the children’s chamber. Tick-tock, Jake!”
Jake’s heart pounded. Someone had set this up specifically for him.
But who? And why?
