Little Tavian lives in Asheville, North Carolina, nestled in a cozy blue house at the edge of Carrier Park. Bright and curious, Tavian spends most days sketching paper planes and dreaming of soccer matches. But today, the doors won’t open. His parents left for errands, and the old lock jammed behind them.
Through the window, Tavian sees his friends—Kairo, Amira, and Leif—laughing as they kick a ball across the field. His heart sinks. He wants to join them. He checks the door again, rattles the knob, and calls out, but no one hears him.
Around the house, puzzles seem scattered—an old combination box, strange notes in the bookshelf, a toy robot that lights up with sound.
