In the quiet village of Panjuri, nestled near the edge of Kaziranga Forest in Assam, lived a humble farmer named Bharno Talik. Bharno raised a small patch of rice fields and lived with his loyal donkey, Dhulo, who helped him haul crops and firewood. Dhulo had grown up with Bharno since he was a foal. They shared every journey.
One early morning, Bharno and Dhulo ventured into the forest to collect wild bananas and herbs. The sun peeked through the tall sal trees, and birds chirped overhead. Bharno stopped near the stream to wash some leaves. When he turned, Dhulo was gone.
Panic filled Bharno’s chest. He searched frantically, calling Dhulo’s name, but the forest gave no answer. The jungle twisted in strange ways, hiding paths and confusing his steps.
