One morning, a strong breeze slammed the duck house door shut behind him. Quillon reached for his spare key—but it was gone. The door refused to budge. His notebook lay outside, filled with notes he needed to send to a research journal by nightfall.
Quillon remained calm. He had hidden tools and clues in the duck house for emergencies. Small carvings on the wall, etched symbols under the feeder, and a faded riddle written near the nesting shelf waited for his attention.
