A sudden noise startled her. A speeding bike rushed past. Pain shot through her tiny leg as she tumbled onto the dusty path. She meowed weakly, unable to move. Her friends circled her, but they didn’t know how to help.
The house stood nearby, but Nefra couldn’t reach it alone. She needed care before her injury worsened.
