Today, those gifts must guide her. She found a rusted compass buried near a stone wall. A carved owl watched from a broken fountain. Nearby, an old vineyard gate creaked open, though no breeze passed.
She knows her friends wouldn’t leave her without reason. Someone left clues. Someone expects her to follow.
